Regatta Ophiusa Sitges-Formentera in Easter for Singles
This Easter we have a fresh opportunity to sail such an iconic regatta on its XV edition. It is a unique chance to sail a fairly competitive boat from the lovely marina of Sitges towards Formentera, probably the most fascinating and unspoilt island in the Balearics. The Ophiusa may have up to 80 boats and is an unforgetable experience.
Have you ever sailed? Have you ever taken part in a regatta? This is your chance, no matter if you have no experience, or if you have some but you've never competed, you can do it now together with a highly skilled crew of multilingual seamen on a great 46ft boat (14.40m), keen to give you and share with you unique memories. No experience required, only the will of adventure and having a good time, making your dreams come true. To be held from Wednesday, March 28 to Monday, April 2nd 2018
Not only a regatta, a big dinner party the day before, big pricegiving dinner and drinks in Formentera, it is not just about sailing but enjoying the glamour of the yachts regatta at its best as well.
Boarding at Sitges (Barcelona), Port de Aiguadolç by Wednesday, March 28 in the afternoon, before the welcome dinner party.
Disembark: Barcelona by Monday, April 2nd in the afternoon

The event starts the 28 of March, where the sailors are invited to a dinner, it is necessary to be there by 18.00 hours or before. We will allocate cabins and buy food for the journey. By 20:30 there is the skippers meeting for the last rules and procedures of the competition. Dinner follows.
We will sleep at the boat as the start is early.
After the start, all under sail until Formentera.
Expected arrival sometime by Friday afternoon.
As we have a highly experienced crew aboard, no experience is required.
Once at Formentera, by Saturday, we will rent a few scooters or a car to visit such a tiny and lovely island, some bays, beaches, by the sea restaurants and maybe take a swim. A nice and well deserved paella is a must for lunch. By Saturday evening there is the price-giving dinner followed by music, drinks and a bit of craziness.
By Sunday we will set sail towards Barcelona, with a lovely stopover in Espalmador in Formentera or another wonderful bay at Ibiza for lunch aboard. Expected arrival to Barcelona in the early afternoon of Monday

Note: For those who need to be back on Sunday, we can organize a flight back from Ibiza or ferry boat. Fee not included.

From Sitges to Formentera by Easter
Boat: Bavaria 46 Cruiser, 4 cabins & 2 toilets.
Itinerary: Barcelona-Sitges-Formentera-Barcelona
Boarding: Port d'Aiguadolç, Sitges Wednesday, March 28.
Disembark: Port Olimpic, Barcelona in the afternoon.
The Boat:
The Bavaria 46 Cruiser "Anian" has over 40 long haul regattas on record. In such, way over 1/3 of them has achieved a top 10, including 1 Scratch victory, 5 class victories and other 6 podium finishes. Being a charter boat and therefore a extremely comfortable boat, this is a very remarkable competitiveness background. In addition , Anian is the boat appointed for the fleet follow up of the regatta and the positioning of the competitors at sea on the radio following every six hours, due to its size and crew expertise. This delivers an additional ingredient to the deal, as it is a deeper understanding of what is going on behind the scenes.
The Crew: Skipper and Second aboard are both Yachtmasters Offshore of RCA/MCA, with over a quarter million miles sailed including ocean passages, over half a thousand regattas and quite dedicated to train people on their first sailing experiences. the goal is not to compete and have a good time, also to develop the love of the crew to the see and make them grow the will to sail and the expertise.
Price includes: Boat, skipper, competent crew members, berths, federative license (mandatory and included), regatta inscription fee and insurances.
Not included: Food and diesel (for the journey back), around 100€ per person.
Possibility of flying back from Ibiza on Sunday
The planned itineraries are for orientation and are usually feasible at the time of the year in which they are scheduled. Adverse weather conditions and/or safety reasons for the crew or the boat, and/or uncomfortable conditions of navigation by wind and waves may cause this route to change, without generating a right to claim. Fortunately, there are many alternative routes that are attractive enough. The skipper is the only authority on board and his decisions on the safety and governance of the vessel are unappealable.
