Details of the Itinerary for the Ibiza and Formentera coves on single sailing boats - Route nº 17
First day, Saturday afternoon - Embark at 16:30 in the meeting point of Singles in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I of Valencia. We will make the presentations, we will distribute in the boats, briefing about the trip, conduct norms, security norms and we will take care of the provisioning of the boat for all the holidays following the guide provided and under the careful instructions of the boat captain. Once the list of the purchase has been made, we will go to the supermarket and then store all the supplies on our boat.
We will have dinner in a bar of the port the crew of all the boats together.
At 12 o'clock, night time, we will set sail for Ibiza with destination Conta’s cove.
We will sail all night (12 to 14 hours) All crew will make 2 in 2 guards during the night, in turns, under the captain instructions.
Sunday - We will wake up near to Ibiza Conta or Compte’s cove, it have both names, where we will spend the rest of the day and in the afternoon, we will see the sunset on the beach in one of the beach bars there. We'll have a drink to meet all the crew.
Monday - After breakfast and the mandatory morning bath in the crystalline waters, we will descend towards Aubarca’s Cove. It is a rarely visited cove to which it is very, very difficult to access from land. It is surrounded by high cliffs and a splendid natural spot that have an almost exclusive access by boat. There we will bathe, snorkel and eat. We will visit in our pneumatics the cave of love.
After lunch, we set sail for Sant Antony de Portmany to anchor in its bay. We will go ashore and we will can go to the Cafe del Mar to watch the sunset. Then have dinner and drinks at the Villa Mercedes restaurant. For those who want to go to visit the city of Ibiza (Dalt Vila), after dinner we go by bus or taxi. The suggestion is to go and have a drink at the legendary Café Teatro Pereyra in Ibiza. Those who want more fun, they can go to Keeper, Pacha or other clubs. We return to the boat by taxi or bus.
Tuesday - In the morning we will sail to d`Hort’s cove, in front of the islet of Es Vedrá, where we will anchor, eat and bathe. After lunch, we will set sail for the nearby Jondal’s cove (if the conditions of swell and wind allow it) to have a drink in the Blue Marlin, fashion beach bar with beautiful people and Ibiza’s party atmosphere. It is an afternoon’s place where after having a drink, we will return to dine on the boat.
Wednesday - When we wake up, we will set sail for Espalmador’s island. Espalmador is a small island about 3 km long and 800 meters wide that separates Ibiza from Formentera. It is famous for its mud baths and its wonderful beach of Sa Alga. Upon landing, we will walk along the beach and visit the mud baths that became famous because of Paz Vega (in the photo) in the movie "Lucia and sex" by Julio Medem.
We are in the Natural Park of Salinas, so we must try harder, if possible, to leave the environment as we find it on arrival, without noticing that we have been there. The island is not inhabited. We cannot leave garbage on the island. Then we head to anchor at the nearby Saona’s cove in Formentera, past Illetas (one of the best beaches in the world), watching from our sailboat the boats and yachts and super yachts that anchor in its waters.
In Cala Saona we bathe in its crystalline turquoise waters. Cala Saona has, in our opinion, the best waters of the Mediterranean.
In Cala Saona we will spend about 24 hours, until after eating on Thursday. You can take advantage of and rent bicycles, motorbikes, quads or cars to tour the island or enjoy its crystal-clear waters bathing and snorkeling. The rent is for 24 hours, so we can enjoy it on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
A good option, on Wednesday afternoon, is to visit the lighthouse of La Mola, a magical place where Jules Verne was inspired. We should not miss the hippie market of La Mola.
Every Wednesday and Sunday, from June to October, from 16:00 to 21:00 p.m., the "Fira de la Mola" welcomes the workshops of artisans and the creators work with different materials such as wood, silver, stone ... as well as stands where you can buy very diverse and high quality handicrafts. There is a great atmosphere and live musical performances are often offered.
Thursday - In the morning we will visit with the motorcycles, cars or bicycles rented from the previous day all that will remain of our tour of Formentera. The lighthouse of the Cap de Berbería and the beach of Illetas from land (it is in the Natural Park of Ses Salines) are places that we should not forget to visit.
At the last minute, we will have a drink at the hotel enjoying a wonderful live performance. We return to dine to the boat and prepare it and we will set to sea for the trip back to Valencia.
Friday - After dinner, around 12 o'clock, we will set sail for Valencia to arrive at the port in the early afternoon. After filling the oil depots and docking, already on land, we will get showered and groomed to dine the singles group in some of the restaurants nearby the Marina Real. If we have provisions left, we can dine on the boats. After nightclub and / or drinks in the same leisure area of the port, with the boat nearby, to not to have to drive.
Saturday - At 8 in the morning, with or without hangover, landing, farewell and end of the journey and our wonderful holidays with singles by boat to Ibiza and Formentera. End of our services. It is important to disembark at the scheduled time as maintenance and cleaning teams should leave the boats checked, clean and shiny for the next group of singles arriving in a few hours.
On some trips, not all, we have a masseur on board that will leave you totally relaxed and will make you forget the stress of the previous months.
The route planned for this trip is not contractual and will have to be adapted and modified according to the weather conditions, sea and wind conditions and safety considerations for the crew and the boat that the skipper considers.
We remind you that sailing holidays are a participatory activity in which the crew members must take care of the tasks on board. In turns, we will cook, scrub kitchen utensils, take care of the cleaning and even make guards during the night navigation and help the patron in the maneuvers with candles, anchoring, etc.
Recommendation: Formentera is reputed to be the island of motorcycles. There are many places to rent and a lot of people rides the island on a motorcycle. The circulation in summer is truly chaotic and dangerous. To avoid accidents, we DO NOT Recommend renting a motorcycle if you do not usually ride in them and feel comfortable and easy to handle. It is preferable to rent a car between 4 or 5, the price will be like a motorcycle for 2.
